Brad Flewellen

President & CEO

 

With over 18 years in this field, Brad has performed an array of diverse functions throughout his professional career. Some of his previous projects include but are not limited to: successful underwriting and participating in the sale of $100 million in commercial real estate loans, participating in originating approximately $1.8 billion in first trust, mezzanine debt, and joint venture equity financing, analyzing and assessing commercial retail investment opportunities, as well as managing the acquisition and disposition processes for a one of the nation’s leading investors, developers, and operators of retail and mixed-use real estate. Prior to founding CEF Realty Advisors, Inc., Brad served as a Loan Review Specialist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (FDIC) where he gained valuable experience working out troubled assets - specifically REO portfolios and non-performing loans, within banks throughout the SF Bay Area, Pacific Northwest, and Pacific Islands.

 

Brad earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, and completed his graduate work in the Masters in Real Estate program at the University of San Diego.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ryan Kurth

Director of Acquisitions & Capital Markets

Ryan Kurth has spent his career gaining valuable and diverse real estate investment, development and capital markets experience across the country. He currently acts as an investor, investment adviser, and provides private commercial real estate bridge loans through Los Angeles based iBorrow, L.P. 

 

He has originated more than $1 billion of commercial real estate loans in his career. Ryan was involved with a startup Homebuilder Banking group in San Francisco via a new business initiative at Wells Fargo. He has also spent time in Los Angeles working for Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Merchant Bank, primarily involved in over $5 billion of distressed note acquisitions, mezzanine financing, and equity investments. Previously, he served at Fannie Mae in Washington, DC, where he helped direct corporate strategy through the downturn and wrote early research on single-family rentals and the student loan market.

 

Ryan received his Masters of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego and a BA in Finance/Economics from Washington State University.

Olivier Flewellen

Chief Accounting Officer

 

Olivier Flewellen is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco; a Masters of Business Administration degree in Management from Golden Gate University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration, with a specialization in Management and Leadership, from Walden University.  She has extensive experience in financial accounting, budgeting, management, business leadership, and working with internal and external stakeholders. After 22 ½ years of service, Ms. Flewellen retired from the Port of Oakland where she held the positions of Accounting Manager, Port Controller, and Director of Finance.

 

She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and California Society of CPAs. Ms. Flewellen has served as a member of the Connectional Budget Board (CBB) of the AME Zion Church since 2004; a member of the Executive Board of the CBB since 2008; and currently serves as the 3rd Vice President of the CBB.  In 2013, she joined the faculty at the University of Phoenix teaching accounting, leadership, and management courses.
